I think one important thing we must remember is that it doesn't matter if something is visible or invisible, inside the box or outside. Any contact with a customer is a piece of the branding equation.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;And it doesn't matter if it is something you can control or not. Sponsorships can be quite visible, as can PR.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I'd also add 'employee relations' to the invisible part.
